While Toledo braces for winter blast that could dump 10 inches of snow on the area by Wednesday afternoon, it's a good idea to keep some tips in mind if you're unfortunate to be involved in an car crash. Toledo auto accident lawyer Charles Boyk includes on the back of his business card his Ten Commandments for people involved in car accidents. Here they are:

1. Thou shalt not panic and leave the scene.
2. Though shalt not move the vehicle unless it creates a hazard.
3. Thou shalt get the names, addresses, phone numbers, and license plate numbers of the parties and witnesses.
4. Remember, make no admission of liability.
5. Honor thy self-interest. Do not speak to the other side's insurance company.
6. Thou shalt seek medical treatment immediately.
7. Thou shalt report the accident to your insurance company.
8. Thou shalt make no payments to the other side.
9. Thou shalt accept no payment from the other side without consulting an attorney.
10. Thou shalt contact the Charles E. Boyk Law Offices, LLC.
